Friends Enclave airport fears enchroachment

Srinagar, Apr 24: The residents of the fashionable Friends Enclave near Srinagar airport have said a vacant piece of land reserved for construction of Zanana Park there is being grabbed by a “blue eyed family.”
 The highland colony residents said for years the land had been reserved for park usage.
 “But now a blue eyed family has started grabbing the land by raising fencing on it,” the residents said.
 “We many a time apprized the authorities including a top bureaucrats but till now nothing fruitful has been done,” they said.
  “If such encroachments are allowed on the road frequented by VIPs what can be the plight elsewhere?” they argued.
 The locals appealed the District Development Commissioner, Budgam, Muhammad Rafi to personally visit the site  for an on the spot assessment.
