Sufficient stocks of foodgrains in Valley’

Srinagar, Apr 24: To review the stock position in Valley, a high level meeting of officers was held here today under the chairmanship of Commissioner/Secretary CAPD, Asgar Samoon.
The meeting was attended by all district officers of the department besides General Manager, Food Corporation of India, Farooq Ahmad.
While reviewing the supply position of LPG and K-oil, it was told in the meeting that sufficient stock of food grains and other essentials are available in the Valley, an official statement said.
The Commissioner said an action plan has been formulated for dumping ration in Ladakh region and other remote areas of the Valley in time. The meeting also reviewed the construction of food godowns in various areas of the Valley by FCI.
The Commissioner was told that work on these would be taken in hand early so that a stock of foodgrains is made adequately.
