PDP flays govt ban on Pak channels

Jammu, Apr 25: Describing the government’s decision of banning the Pakistan channels here as “illogical,” the Peoples Democratic Party today said these channels were not telecasting any provocative programmes.
 In a statement, its general secretary, Thakur Balbir Singh and MLC Murtaza Khan said there was no reason to ban these channels as they were telecasting programmes for strengthening peace and communal harmony in the society. “The religious sentiments of people have been hurt due to the government decision,” the duo said and asked the authorities to reconsider the decision.
