PET aspirant seeks justice

Jammu, Apr 25: Dropped from the final selection list, despite being in merit and entitled for selection, an aspirant for the post of Physical Education Teacher is running from pillar to post to get justice. Anayatullah Khan son of Wali Muhammad Khan of Panjigam, Bandipora had applied for the post of PET for District Bandipora. Having secured 33.84 points, the candidate figured at Serial No 4 in the waiting list in the provisional select list issued by SSRB on December 8, 2008.
“However, to my utmost surprise my name did not figured in the final selection list issued by the SSRB Vide No SSB/Sel/Secy (PET) 010/235 dated February 6, 2010 despite the fact that I was entitled for the selection and should have figured at Serial No 52 in the final select list”, Khan claimed.He said that on being approached the chairman SSRB verbally conveyed him that he has been provisionally selected, but subject to the outcome of a writ petition pending disposal before the High Court.
“As nothing was said in black and white I filed a representation before the Chairman”, he said adding, “However, the concerned authorities are turning a deaf ear towards my repeated pleas and no action was being taken”.
