6 day police remand of accused driver

Srinagar, Apr 26:  A local Court on Monday sent to police remand Cyber Bujja, the accused driver who crushed to death a woman and injured two kids at Chinar Colony in the south City Saturday evening.
 “The accused has been sent to six day police remand,” the SHO, Sadder Police Station, Tajinder Singh told Greater Kashmir.
 The SHO said the Honda City car, Cyber was driving at the time of the  mishap was seized last night adding the sedan bears a non-local registration No PB 35 H 5665.
 The police said Cyber has been arrested vide FIR No 74 under section 279, 337 and 304(a), which is death due to negligence.
 On the fateful evening the speeding sedan hit Khati Begum wife of Ghulam Rasool Sheikh of Mandir Bagh, Baghat Barzalla and her two grandchildren around 7 pm near Parraypopra, Baghat.
 They were rushed to SMHS hospital where the doctors declared Khati Begum brought dead. The children, of the age of three to four, were hospitalised in critical condition “The vehicle, coming from Hyderpora side, was moving on a very high speed,” eyewitness had said.
 Khati along with her grandchildren were crossing the road when the vehicle hit them.
