Sakina for survey of widows, handicapped orphans

Jammu, Apr 26: The Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo today called for fresh survey of widows, orphans and handicapped persons.
 Chairing a meeting, she asked the district police officers to furnish details of such victims and forward them to Executive Director, Rehabilitation Council. She directed the Police Department to involve District Social Welfare officers in the survey.
 She said for such people, the Government intends to have comprehensive rehabilitation policy, comprising widow pension, marriage grant for wards, scholarships for children etc.
