4 killed, 52 wounded in JK mishaps

Jammu, Apr 27: Four persons, including two women were killed and 43 others injured in a mishap at Ramnagar Udhampur on Tuesday evening.
 Police said the ill fated bus (JK02K-3255) was on way to Patyari (Ramnagar) from Udhampur, when it met with an accident at Kagote. The bus plunged into a deep gorge after its driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve.
 At least three persons were killed on the spot, while 44 others reportedly sustained injuries. “We have recovered body of three persons from the gorge”, Station House Officer Ramnagar told Greater Kashmir, over phone. However, reports said that a critically injured passenger later died in Udhampur hospital.
 On receiving information, a police team led by SHO Police Station Ramnagar rushed to the spot and started rescue operation with the help of locals. The injured passengers were rushed to the hospitals at Sub District Hospital Ramnagar, from where over a dozen critically injured persons were shifted to the District Hospital Udhampur.
 The identity of the deceased passengers could not be ascertained immediately.
 Meanwhile, in Kashmir, nine persons were wounded in an accident at Uri.
 Eyewitnesses said the incident happened when a Sumo turned turtle at Aroon Buwa. All the injured were shifted to local Hospital Boniyar.
