CM, DCM rush to New Delhi
GK NEWS NETWORK
Jammu, Apr 2: In the wake of protracted row over the inter-district recruitment bill and the proposed strike by the state government employees, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and the Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand Friday rushed to Delhi, reportedly, for consultations with the Congress high command.
According to highly placed sources, the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister are likely to seek Centre’s help in addressing the immediate challenges confronting the coalition government on account of the inter-district recruitment bill and the employees’ strike.
“The duo is expected to seek special central grant to meet the pressing demand for payment of 6th pay commission arrears to the employees which needs a whopping Rs 4200 crore,” sources said.
