Seerat symposium today

Srinagar, Apr 29: The Shah-i-Hamadan Institute of Islamic Studies, Kashmir University is organizing a daylong Seerat symposium on the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and concept of Social justice in Islam on Friday.
Prominent cleric Mufti Nazir Ahmad Qasmi is scheduled to speak on the occasion.
An official handout said: “The symposium will focus on the concept of social justice in Islam with special reference to prophet Muhammad (SAW). Prof Riyaz Punjabi, the Ku Vice-Chancellor will preside over the function while as Dr Siddiq Wahid, Vice-Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology Awanti Pora will be the Chief Guest at the function.”
“Retd Justice BA Kirmani will deliver the keynote address and prominent historian and writer Prof Shaykh Muhammad Iqbal will be the guest of honour. Among other speakers Prof Ishaq Khan, Prof. BA Nehvi and Prof Hamid Nasim Rafiabadi will address the function. The function will be held at Gandhi Bhavan, University of Kashmir.
