250 militants active in Rajouri, Reasi: Army
‘16 LeT Militants Killed In a Week’

Jammu, Apr 3: Around 250 militants were operating in Rajouri and Reasi districts of Jammu region while an equal number of them were waiting across the line of control to infiltrate into this side, a senior army officer said Saturday.
“Nearly 250 militants are presently active in the two districts of Reasi and Rajouri,” Maj Gen M M S Rai, GOC Counter Intelligence Force (Uniform) told media persons on Saturday.
He said that an equal number of militants (250-300) were waiting on the other side of Line of Control in a bid to cross over to this side.
Army, he said, has launched a massive search operation ‘Dundo Aur Khatem Kero Operation’ in two districts of Reasi and Rajouri and was getting good results.
He said that 16 militants were killed during the present week “They belonged to Lashker-e-Toiba outfit. Out of total 16 slain militants, 15 were foreigners while one of them was a local ultra,” he added.
