Fateha of M Y Khan’s mother today

Srinagar, Apr 8: The Fateha Khawani of Fatima Bano, mother of former J&K Bank chairman Muhammad Yousuf Khan, would be held at 2:30 pm Friday at her ancestral graveyard in Seer Hamadan, Islamabad, in south Kashmir.
Hundreds of people including Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah and Chief Minister’s Political Advisor, Devender Singh Rana, visited the residence of M Y Khan at Seer Hamadan this morning to condole the demise of his mother.
They expressed their deep sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
Bano, 88, was ailing and passed away on Tuesday afternoon. The deceased had three other sons- former chief engineer and member Public Service Commission, Muhammad Sharief Khan, former director employment, Ghulam Hassan Khan and Abdul Rashid Khan- and two daughters.
Bano was the wife of former Zaildar of Seer Hamadan and a close associate of Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah and was widely revered for her piety.
