KU condoles Prof Khera's demise

Srinagar: Kashmir University staff on Monday condoled the demise of Prof  M K Khera who during his tenure  as professor in the varisity held the positions of  Dean faculty of Sciences and Head department of Physics  .
 A condolence meeting was held under  the chairmanship of Prof Farooq Ahmad, head department of physics which was attended by entire staff and  scholars at the department . The meeting described Prof Khera as a scholar and researcher of repute who represented KU at various academic forums in India and abroad. Prof Farooq said that Prof Khera's contribution in teaching and research at the PG department of Physics would be remembered for long
 Prof Khera was a member of  the  first research group in India  who worked to  build neutron counters use for the cosmic research activities. He has co edited a book Energy Problems in J&K state.
