Geelani put under house arrest
Srinagar, Aug 10: In a bid to foil the Pampore Chalo on Wednesday, the authorities put the Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Shah Geelani, under house arrest on Tuesday evening.
Reports said a large posse of police cordoned the veteran leader’s house at Hyderpora and put him under house arrest.
A Hurriyat spokesman termed the restrictions on Geelani as ‘Government’s frustration.’
