Govt has become immune of atrocities: Mehbooba

Commends services of medical fraternity

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Aug 11: Condemning the alleged custodial killing of Farukh Bukhari of  Kreeri Varmul, the Peoples Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti has said it seems the government has become completely immune to the atrocities it is inflicting on the people.
She said the death in tragic circumstances of yet another teenager adds to the long list of tragedies Kashmir has suffered at the hands of ‘blind and heartless government.’
Mehbooba said it seems that the government has still not learnt any lessons and continues with the policies of highhandedness and brutal force.
She said this was evident from the incidents of government firing on demonstrators in downtown Srinagar last evening and near Tapper and in Pampore today.
Mehbooba Mufti admired the outstanding contribution of doctors , para-medical staff and all members of the medical community in dealing with an unprecedented humanitarian crisis. Expressing her gratitude to the medical community for responding in an exemplary manner to the grave situation that has arisen out of the wanton use of force on civilians, she said they also have written a new chapter of dedication and selfless service.
