Revolution has caused political upheaval: Masrat

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Aug 11: The Hurriyat Conference (G) senior leader Masrat Alam Bhat on Wednesday said the ‘2010 mass revolution in the form of Quit Jammu Kashmir movement had caused political tremors in India.’
“The supreme sacrifices of life being offered by the innocent civilians especially teenagers have put across a loud and clear message to the world and Indian rulers that Kashmiris want India to leave Kashmir. India should read the writing on the wall and decide to leave Kashmir as soon as possible,” Masrat said according to a Hurriyat statement.
“I want to make it clear to the police that the pro-freedom people cannot be overawed by the killing of innocent civilians and arresting the pro-freedom leaders and harassment of their families,” said Masrat, adding, “Our struggle is passing through a decisive phase when every house has become our office and every individual our worker and colleague. The police are destined to lose this war. It is better for them to live in accordance with the collective thinking of people.” He alleged besides police, other administrative officers were also participating in the war against people.
Masrat paid tributes to Fida Nabi and expressed solidarity with his family.
He said the people of rural areas who have arranged the relief for city dwellers should make it to Srinagar city along with relief on August 12, Thursday. Masrat strongly condemned the arrest of Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi’s son-in-law.
