Observe shutdown on Aug 15: JKLF

Srinagar, Aug 12: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front has urged people to observe complete shutdown on August 15.
“We appeal people to observe complete shutdown and organize peaceful protests on August 15, to send a message to the world that Jammu Kashmir is a disputed territory and needs to be resolved on priority basis,” the JKLF vice-chairman Bashir Ahmed Bhat said in a statement.
Bhat urged the people to extend help to poor and needy in these hard days.  He has also appealed to the managements of private schools to give substantial fee concession to the students.
He urged people to offer special prayers for the speedy recovery of Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Front leaders led by Showkat Ahmad Bakshi today visited the residence of Fida Nabi, killed in police and CRPF action recently, at HMT here and expressed solidarity with his family.
