Pharmacists appeal for donation
Srinagar, Aug 12: Srinagar Chemists and Distributors Association (SCDA) has appealed to its fraternity to donate medicines for free distribution among the needy.
SCDA said: “An emergency meeting of executive members was held to discuss the present scenario regarding the availability of medicines in Srinagar. An appeal to all pharmaceutical distributors and retailers was made to contribute by donating medicines of their choice so that these can be distributed to the needy poor patients free of cost.”
The collection centres are: Bilal Medicate, Batmaloo, Davood Pharmaceuticals, Aziz Complex, B P Batmaloo, Fine Cure, Hazoori Bagh, Rahiel Pharma, Maisuma Shah Medicate, Ansa Complex, Soura, Syed Medicate, S M H S and Update Pharma, Chotta Bazaar.
Besides Abdul Ahad Bhat, Syed Sajad, Fayaz Azad, Arshad Hussain all other executive members attended the meeting, the Association said.
SCDA assured the patients that all medicines were available in the market. “There is no need to panic. Diabetic related drugs like insulin and cardio vascular drugs are readily available throughout Srinagar. In case of any emergency, Association office can be contacted,” it added.
