21 police official to get awards
Srinagar, Aug 14: The government will award Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal (SKPM) for Gallantry to 14 police officers/officials, Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Service (Independence Day, 2010) to 4 police officers/ officials and Sher-i-Kashmir Police Medal for Meritorious Service (Independence Day, 2008) to 3 police officers.
According to a notification issued by Home department, the SKPM gallantry awardees are: Aurangzeb Ct No 716/AP 14th Bn, Khursheed Ahmad Ct No 220/Kgm, Ashok Kumar Ct No 427/AP 14th Bn, Zahoor Ahmad Ct No 517/Kgm, Nissar Ahmad Ct No 468/AP 14th Bn, Hilal Ahmad Ct No 419/AP 14th Bn, Shahid Mushtaq Ct No 585/Kgm, Manzoor Ahmad Ct No 561/Kgm, Muhammad Rafiq Ct No 233/AP 14th Bn, Taranjeet Singh SI ARP-046149, Khem Raj Sgct No 722/D, EXJ-006703, Shiv Krishen, SI No 6665/NGO EXJ-996886, Abdul Qayoom, DY SP, SDPO Batherwah and Varinder Singh, Inspr No 4425/NGO EXJ-951897.
The SKPM Meritorious service awardees (Independence Day, 2010) are: Gopal Reddy, IPS IGP, HG/CD & Aux Police, Muhammad Amin Tak, SSP Security Transport Workshop, Javed Iqbal Farooqi, SP PCR Srinagar and Syed Fayaz Ahmad Inspr No 3041/NGO SHO P/S Pattan.
The SKPM Meritorious service awardees (Independence Day, 2008) are Sheikh Owais Ahmad, IPS IGP Personnel/ Trainings, Rouf-ul-Hassan, IPS DIG Armed Kashmir and Tilak Raj SI No 5565/NGO, CID, CI and Jammu.
