Hurriyat (M) miffed at unabated killings
Srinagar, Aug 14: The Hurriyat Conference (M) led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has condemned the unabated killings in the Valley and termed it as a part of a conspiracy to carry on genocide of Kashmir.
In a statement, the party spokesman said the killings of civilian in Sopur, Kupwara, Pattan and Islamabad pointed towards a conspiracy to suppress the ongoing movement. The party paid glowing tributes to the youth and teenagers killed by troopers and cops and expressed sympathies with their families.
The party felicitated Pakistan on its foundation day and prayed for its peace and prosperity. “Pakistan has been extending moral, diplomatic, political for taking the ongoing movement of right to self-determination to its logical conclusion,” it said.
The party condoled the death of hundreds of people due to flash floods in Pakistan and expressed heartfelt condolences to it on behalf of Kashmiris.
Meanwhile the conglomerate’s spokesman condemned placing of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq again under house arrest. Pertinently, Mirwaiz was scheduled to addresses a religious function at the shrine of Naqashband Sahib here today.
