Aasiya to felicitate Ahad Jan
Srinagar, Aug 15: Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Milat Syeda Aasiya Andrabi has announced to felicitate Abdul Ahad Jan, who threw shoe at Omar Abdullah here on Sunday.
Declaring that she would personally hand over ‘bravery of faith medal’ to the head constable Abdul Ahad Jan, Aasiya termed the act of shoe throwing a valiant.
“Hurling shoe on Omar Abdullah, raising pro-freedom slogan or hoisting black flag is not a simple act and Ahad Jan has made us proud,” she said in a statement.
Asiya said question mark has been put on police claims of Jan being ‘insane’.
“I want to ask DGP how a mad person was allowed to sit in the VVIP lawn behind the ministers and bureaucrats. Freedom lovers have infiltrated in their ranks also which is evident today,” she said.
