Kashmiris protest outside Indian embassy in Brussels
Brussels, Aug 15: Scores of Kashmiris today held demonstration outside the Indian Embassy here on India’s I-Day and demanded immediate halt to the civilian killings in Kashmir.
Led by Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chief patron and executive director of Kashmir Centre Brussels, Barrister Abdul Majeed Trumboo, the protestors asked the government of India to give right of self-determination to the Kashmiris.
Barrister Tramboo referred to the unabated rights violations committed by armed forces in Kashmir, a JKLF statement said.
He said the Prime Ministers Dr Manmohan Singh’s commitment of zero tolerance to human rights violations proved a mere hoax. “Now his political solution that addresses the alienation and emotional needs of the people makes no sense and it is nothing more than a smoke screen.”
The protestors presented a memorandum to the Indian Ambassador.
