Amarnath Yatra resumes

Jammu, Aug 16: After remaining suspended for two days due to security reasons and bad weather, the Amarnath Yatra on Monday resumed with a fresh batch leaving for the cave in south Kashmir Himalayas.
This is the sixth time that the Yatra was halted since its commencement on June 30.
Over 4.50 lakh Yatris have so far visited the cave.
Meanwhile, Buddha Amarnath Yatra in Poonch was today suspended from Jammu due to bad weather, officials said.
