Jama’at rejects PM’s remarks
Srinagar, Aug 16: Rejecting, what it called, the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh’s integral part remarks, the Jama’at-e-Islami has demanded immediate resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance with wishes and aspirations of its people.
“By claiming J&K as an integral part of India in his speech on I-Day, Dr Manmohan Singh has falsified the historic facts. J&K is a disputed region and its people have been demanding for the last 63 years the final resolution of the issue in accordance with the pledges made to them by the Indian rulers through the United Nations Organization. The ongoing peaceful mass-movement has also been started with the same demand that the people of J&K be provided the Right of self- determination so as to enable them to decide their political future,” said the Jama’at spokesman advocate Zahid Ali.
