The recent statement by Mr.Chidambram regarding the present chaotic situation in Kashmir is uncalled for. His assertion that barring Srinagar city, situation is normal everywhere in the state can be taken. One wonders as to what reports politicians in Delhi are receiving about Kashmir. This has been the strategy of Indian Government for last sixty years to corrupt the political establishment in Kashmir. But it will serve no purpose except vitiating the atmosphere. Need is to act.
