JKLF holds demo in UK
London, Aug 1: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (UK zone) on Saturday held protest outside the Indian High Commission here against the civilian killings and continued human rights violations perpetrated by the armed forces in Kashmir.
In a statement, the party said, the protestors shouted slogans against the atrocities committed by the armed forces in Kashmir. Holding play cards and banners highlighting the deteriorating rights situation in Kashmir, the protestors draw world attention towards the recent killings of Kashmiri youth, forced disappearances and custodial killings of innocent Kashmiris.
They called on the government of India to release all political prisoners and urged the international community the check the excesses committed by the forces in Kashmir over the past month.
JKLF UK Zone President, Mahmood Hussain said paramilitary forces and police were killing innocent and unarmed youth of Kashmir on daily basis. A memorandum was also presented to the officials highlighting the iron fist policy of the government of India in curbing the aspirations of the people seeking their right to self determination.
