CM Speech: contradictions eveywhere
This refers to CM's Bakshi Stadiun speech reported by your esteemed newspaper (16th August).
Strange, while on one hand Mr Omar being the Chairman of the Unified Command and also the Home Minister as well as the Chief Minister of J&K is responsible for the killings of innocent and unarmed Kashmiri Civilians particularly children, on the other hand he is repeatedly asking New Delhi to take immediate steps in resolving the Kashmir issue politically.
For sure he is just a nominal Head of the State as well as of the Unified High Command as the real command lies with New Delhi and New Delhi is ruining him by not helping him to deal with the situation on the ground. New Delhi is not lending a whole hearted support to him even after such a prolonged crisis in Kashmir for any love for him or his family or for any commendable job done by him but they are doing it as he is the best bet for them. It pains me along with most of the Kashmiris who were very staunch supporters of the Jammu Kashmir Plebiscite Front to find NC supporting this oppression. Unfortunately we have always been betrayed by our own people and to some extent we have been ourselves also responsible by lending support to such people on various occasions by nodding an unconditional zaroor to whatever they demanded from us.
