Sikhs resolve to fight communalism
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Aug 19: Sikh community members today resolved to defeat "evil designs" of anti-social elements, who allegedly sent letters asking them to either join protests or leave the Valley, to disrupt communal harmony in the region.
"Sikhs met today under the banner of All Party Sikh Coordination Committee, reviewed the situation arising out of unsigned letters put up at various places in the Valley and decided to defeat the evil designs of some anti-social elements bent upon to create wedge
between Muslims and Sikhs", Coordinator of the Committee, Jagmohan Singh Raina said.
The meeting impressed upon the Kashmir Sikhs to be more vigilant as miscreants want to break loving relation between Sikhs and Muslims.
Sikh leaders urged both factions of Hurriyat, JKLF and United Jihad Council to take serious note on these threatening letters and bring culprits before the people.
The meeting also expressed shock over alleged beating of devotees at the Hazaratbal shrine and urged the government to stay away from religious affairs of the people.
Participants also castigated the government for not allowing Sikh community to visit Gurudwara Chattipatshai at Rainawari.
