Mir blames Congress for killings

Srinagar, Aug 20: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) senior vice-chairman, Javid Ahmad Mir has accused the Congress-led UPA government of being responsible for the killing of 60 civilians in Valley during the last two months.
 “Congress has always been getting the Kashmiris killed since 1947 to continue its rule in New Delhi. This party has been blowing the trumpet of secularism to befool the world,” Mir said while addressing public at Abi Guzar, strongly condemning the killing of an 8-year-old child and other 59 youths by the armed forces.
 Rebuffing the propaganda unleashed by some elements about threats to the minorities, Mir termed it a vain attempt to malign the ongoing struggle. He said, “Sikhs and Pandits are the part of our society.” He appealed to the minorities not to lend ear to rumours.
