Mirwaiz visits injured in hospitals

Srinagar, Aug 22: The Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sunday visited Srinagar hospitals to inquire about the health of the persons injured in police and CRPF action in the past two months.
A Hurriyat spokesman said soon after being released from house arrest, Mirwaiz rushed to the SKIMS Soura and inquired about the health of patients in the Intensive Care Unit. Later he went to SMHS and met the persons injured in CRPF firing at Zampa Kadal on Sunday. “Mirwaiz prayed for speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.
 He said on seeing Mirwaiz, people shouted pro-freedom and anti-India slogans. Mirwaiz hailed the doctors and hospital staff for looking after the injured even in difficult situation.
 Mirwaiz was accompanied by Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, M.Y Naquash, Abdul Rauf Khan, Hakim Rashid and Mushtaq Sofi.
 Meanwhile the party has expressed concern over the deteriorating health of High Court Bar Association president, Mian Abdul Qayoom and demanded proper medicare facilities for him.
 The spokesman said Mirwaiz will offer Zuhr prayers at Jinab Sahib Soura and will reflect on the significance of Ramadhan.   
 A delegation of All India Shrimoni Akali Dal led by its president Prof Jaswant Singh Mann visited SMHS alongwith Mirwaiz.
