The news story “Ahad Jan arrives to hero’s welcome in Ajas” surprised me. I wonder why we create heroes out of everyone who does even a simple act in favour of Kashmir. What is an Army soldier tomorrow throws a shoe at a Kashmiri politician, should we call him a hero too? Jan only gave an impression that he had some personal grudge with the Director General of Police. When he reached home, he called for poll boycott. Later he resigned from job. One wonders what is he doing and what he wants to convey. Let us not get swayed away by mere statements and actions.
