Hailstorm wreaks havoc in Kupwara
80 Cattle Perish, 5 Houses Damaged

Batpora (Kupwara), Aug 23: A hailstorm followed by thunders, lightening and torrential rains killed 80 cattle in upper reaches and damaged five residential houses at Manigah and Batpora villages.
The storm damaged paddy crops and orchards in many villages of Hayhama, Batpora, Kanibhack, Trumnard, Safawali, Halmatpora, Sohipora, Goonipora, and Manigah.
The Nallah Hayhama and Mangoo got flooded due to the rains and three culverts at Gundisana, Batpora and Trumnard were washed away.
