Makad calls on CM
Srinagar, Aug 24: A Sikh delegation comprising representatives from various Sikh organizations, led by Pradhan Shromani Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, Sardar AS Makad called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah here today.
The delegation discussed issues pertaining to Sikh community and expressed full faith in the age old communal harmony and brotherhood prevalent in the State.
Talking to the delegation, Omar said Jammu and Kashmir symbolizes high principles of communal amity and mutual trust between various sections of the society.
He said Sikhs and Muslims are living in amity and brotherhood in the Valley since ages and his Government would work for further cementing the relations and strengthening the bonds of trust between various sections of the society.
