Kashmiris victim of state terror: Malik
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Aug 26: The chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front, Muhammad Yasin Malik, on Thursday alleged that the Kashmiris had been the victim of state sponsored terrorism for the past 22-years.
“Armed forces have unleashed terror to suppress the ongoing struggle. In just 3-months 64-innocent civilians including women and children have been martyred by the armed forces,” Malik said while addressing a public gathering at Anchar, Soura here.
This was Malik’s first public appearance after his release yesterday.
Malik urged the international community to act and come for rescue of Kashmiris.
Malik accompanied by other JKLF activists and the president of Jamiat-e-Ahlihadees Moulana Showkat visited Anchar this afternoon and expressed sympathies with the family members of Omar Qayoom Bhat, who succumbed at SKIMS on Wednesday.
Omar had sustained serious lung injuries allegedly due to severe torture in police custody some days ago.
The delegation, according to JKLF spokesman, also enquired about the scores of persons injured in yesterday’s police action and prayed for their speedy recovery.
Meanwhile, the JKLF spokesman paid glowing tributes to the martyrs Galwanpora including Bashir Bogami and Shaheed Muhammad Yousuf Waza on their death anniversary.
