VDC MEMBER KILLS CIVILIAN
Jammu: A civilian was allegedly shot dead by a Village Defence Committee (VDC) member over an old enmity in Jammu’s Rajouri district, police said on Saturday.
“The incident took place when Abdul Shafiq and the VDC member Satpaul had a heated argument over some issue at Daraj Mohra village. Satpaul later took out his official gun and shot at Shafiq, killing him on the spot. Later the villagers caught hold of Satpaul and severely beat him and tied him with a tree.
