Sarfie Colony sans dumper bins

GK NEWS NETWORK

Srinagar, Aug 29:  The inhabitants of Sarfie Colony Buchpora,  Lanes 1, 2 and 3 have said they face inconvenience due to lack of dumper bins in the area.
“We are facing lot of inconvenience due to lack of proper dumping of garbage as there are no dustbins installed in our locality,” said the locals led by Khalid Ahmed Lone.
“People throw their garbage on the main road as a result of which heaps of garbage have mounted on the roadside giving foul smell,’ the locals said adding “it makes our life miserable.”
“People from other localities also throw the garbage on the same spot making it a hub of garbage centre,” the locals said.
The residents said if proper arrangement for garbage disposal isn’t made, there is apprehension of outbreak of epidemic.
We request to the concerned authorities to look into matter and redress our problem as soon as possible,” they said.
Besides they complained of dog menace.
“The population of stray dogs has also increased in the area due to which our parents, and children are scared to go out from their homes in the morning and evening hours,” the residents said.
