Optional subject
I applied for the post of Assistant Conservator of Forests as advertised by the JK Public Service Commission under Notification No PSC/EX/ACF/07 dated 28/02/2008.The screening test was held on 15/11/2009 and I appeared in that under Roll No 9002850. I cleared the screening test successfully and began to prepare for the mains exam. On 21/07/2010 JK Public Service Commission advertised for the mains exam under Notification No PSC/EXM/10 and invited applications from the successful candidates who had cleared the screening test. According to this notification the detailed syllabus was available on the website of PSC i.e., www.jkpsc.org, But to my dismay and for many others like me the shocking part was the deletion / omission of at least 6(six) optional subjects from the list of optional subjects to be chosen in the mains exam.
