Aasiya endorses Hurriyat (G) program
‘I salute Kashmiris’ courage, resilience’
Srinagar, Aug 7: The Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Aasiya Andrabi on Saturday endorsed the protest calendar announced by the chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Shah Geelani and urged people to make it successful.
In a statement said Aasiya expressed gratitude to the people for taking the movement forward. “ I salute the courage and resilience of the Kashmiris who are not shying away from rendering sacrifices for the cause. From 1947 to 1989 Kashmiris peacefully fought for their right to self-determination. However, when their movement was crushed, the youth started an armed movement, rendered over one lakh sacrifices and were successful to internationalize the Kashmir dispute,” Aasiya said.
Aasiya said due to continuous curfew the supply of medicines has been hampered. “I appeal the medical stockists and dealers to immediately contact the Srinagar Chemists Druggists Association (SCDA) on Sunday and ensure smooth supply of medicines,” she said.
