PDP drama

Greater Kashmir has rightly portrayed the drama played by the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) over the so-called resignation by its senior leader, Muzaffar Hussain Baig. Baig’s comments on NDTV not only depicted the official position of PDP that “Our future lies with India” but also exposed the claims of the party over the resolution of Kashmir dispute. Such comments signify that the so-called Self Rule document is nothing but a hoax like the resignation of Baig. Had party been so disciplined, it could have shown the door to Baig for making utterances which ran against the party’s stand on Kashmir. But since Baig was not sacked, we presume that PDP’s stand is that “our destiny lies with India.” At the same time, Baig’s comments eulogizing the anchor of the programme speaks volumes about his immaturity. At a time when Kashmir is burning, you are praising an anchor.

How shameful!
