SBI records Rs 82 cr transactions
Srinagar, Aug 8: All the branches of State Bank of India remained open today in the Valley.
DGM SBI Kashmir, A U Tak told Greater Kashmir that all the branches of the bank in the Valley remained open especially for prospective hajjis to allow them to deposit the requisite money; for parents to help them transmit money to their wards studying outside the Valley; and for the pensioners to get their dues.
“We had secured the permission from the Reserve Bank of India to keep our branches open in the Valley,” he said.
According to him the bank recorded transactions worth Rs 82 crore today.
