Not so serious about Kashmir
This refers to the news “Track II team begins Kashmir Sojourn”. I wonder what the mandate of the team is. They made it clear that they have come on their own and the central government has not deputed them to the Valley. Then what is the fun of carrying out such an exercise. The parliamentarians have themselves acknowledged that the central government didn’t implement the All Party Delegation recommendations in letter and spirit. This should make it clear to them, and all, that New Delhi is not serious in addressing the Kashmir issue. I was perturbed to see the interlocutors recommending some administrative measures for Kashmir. Unfortunately India is still looking at the issue from the economics perspective which is not the case. Kashmir issue is political in nature and India must admit that. There is no point delaying its resolution. That would hamper peace in entire South Asia.
