Who wants?

This refers to the news “Kashmir will never become part of Pakistan.” The former Chief Minister  Dr Farooq Abdullah doesn’t know that people in Kashmir are for right to self determination and don’t necessarily demand Pakistan. Pakistan has always supported the Kashmir cause diplomatically and politically. In that sense, Kashmiris cannot forget the role the country has played in Kashmir affairs time and again. However, most of the separatist leaders are of the view that a plebiscite must be held so that people are given a choice to be with a country they want. Force has no role. Dr Abdullah is just presuming things which doesn’t augur well with a politician like him who has spend years in politics. There may be a section of people who want to be with Pakistan. They must be allowed to do so. Such sweeping statements only reflect that our politicians are yet to grow wiser and just hit in the air.
