JK Vision-2010 trade fair begins
POWERGRID bags ‘best stall of fair’

Srinagar, Dec 12: The Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd, a power trading entity, has won the “best stall of the fair” trophy in the J&K Vision-2010 trade fare.
The trade fair at K K Resorts, Jammu, which has been termed as the first mega event of its kind in J&K, aims to showcase new openings in various sectors and facilitate people of J&K to grasp information about various government schemes and policies, the company in a statement to Greater Kashmir said.
Among others the major players participating in the event are Power Grid Corporation, National Rural Health Mission, Appollo Hospital, J&K Women Development Corporation, Director of Extension, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, Directorate of Agriculture, Jammu, National Jute Board, National mission Bamboo Application, Tirth Agro, CSIR, SKAUST, CMERI, Durgapur, JK Cement and National Research and Development Corporation.
Besides showcasing its profile the POWERGRID through panels and corporate films also exhibited hotline model with Hotman, Emergency Restoration System (ERS), Thermo vision scanning Camera and other latest technologies being used in its operations.
In the prize distribution ceremony held today prizes for various categories were given by Raman Bhalla, Minister of Revenue, J&K.
POWERGRID’S stall was adjudged the best stall of the trade fare.
Jagmohan Sharma, General Manager (O&M) POWERGRID NRTS-II received the trophy on behalf of POWERGRID.
