SSP pitches safety mantra
The Budgam police chief Aftab Kakroo said people could prevent thefts and others related crimes by taking some precautions.
Fearing a domestic help-gang nexus, the SSP said the people while hiring them should seek their verification from nearby police station.
“It’s a very simple affair. You just have to file an application alongwith his photograph and police verifies his credentials within days,” Kakroo said while talking to Greater Kashmir during sidelines of the press conference.
He also said that people should avoid keeping their houses uninhabited even during daytime pleading that burglars are in the hunt for such “soft targets.”
He appealed the people not to buy any stolen vehicle even if it costs a penny.
Car lifters pretend to be over-smart before a potential customer and this is what could end both of them in a soup. And it often does.
