'BJP ANTI-MUSLIM, COMMUNAL PARTY'

Srinagar, Dec 15: The Chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani on Wednesday accused the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP)  of being an anti-Muslim and communal party.
Reacting to the recent remarks  of senior BJP leader Ashok Khajuria that “India would not grant independence to Kashmir even if four more generations of Kashmiri Muslims were sacrificed for the demand,” Geelani said, “Khajuria’s statement signifies that the Jan Sangh and the India Army are hatching conspiracies to  undertake genocide of more Kashmiris. They want to turn the majority community into the minority and repeat 1947 genocide.”
“By terming Kashmir as integral part of India, Khajuria should bear in mind that the status and historical perspective of the dispute can’t be changed. I want to maintain that Kashmir is an international dispute. By making such statements, Khajuria has shown his mental bankruptcy,” he said.
However, Geelani maintained that the movement of Kashmiris was not against the people of India or Hindus. “We want Gandhi’s India should come for rescue of Kashmiris,” he added.
