Govt makes heating arrangements in B’pora schools
TARIQ RASOOL
Bandipora, Dec 16: Taking cognizance of the Greater Kashmir report regarding lack of heating arrangements in the educational institutions of Bandipora, the officers of School Education Department on Thursday arranged proper heating and seating facilities for the students attending their schools.
The heads of various educational institutions told Greater Kashmir that sufficient heating arrangements were made in the schools and bukharis were installed in classrooms.
“The benches in schools have been replaced by latest matting and bukharis have been installed in the classrooms,” the heads said adding the broken windowpanes of classrooms were also being fixed.
“We are managing the heating facilities from the available school fund and hope that the authorities will release the funds for winter schooling,” a principal of a Higher Secondary School said.
Pertinent to mention that students from various educational institutions including Government Secondary School Bhag, Government Girls Higher Secondary Bandipora, Government Boys Higher Secondary Kaloosa and Higher Secondary Nadihal complained about the lack of heating arrangements on the first day of winter schooling.
