Non-bailable warrant against Qasim Khaar
TARIQ RASOOL
Bandipora, Dec 1: Chief Judicial Magistrate Bandipora has issued a non-bailable warrant against former government gunman Qasim Ahangar alias Qasim Khaar in a complaint of attempt to murder against him. The CJM issued the warrants against Khaar and his two former Personal Security Officers after they failed to appear in court despite being summoned during an earlier hearing.
According to sources, an FIR no. 228/1998 U/S 307, 354, 325 and 341 RPC was lodged against Khaar in Police Station Sumbal in 1998. After 12 long years the Chief Judicial Magistrate issued warrants against Khaar, asking Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sumbal, who had filed the charge sheet against him and others in 1998, to arrest and produce the accused before court.
The court has also issued another non-bailable warrant against Khaar in a case registered under FIR number 55/2005 US 307, 336 and 14 RPC.
The court had dismissed the exemption application filed by Khaar and others earlier.
