Army formulating new strategy: GoC

Baramulla, Dec 21: The General Officer Commanding (GoC) 15 Corps Lt General S A Hasnain on Tuesday said that army was formulating new strategies to “win the hearts and minds” of people.
 While talking to reporters at the sidelines of a function here in north Kashmir, the GoC said that after assuming office he asked his field commanders to apprise them about the ground situation. “I am hopeful that in coming days we will be able to adopt new strategies,” he added.
 The GoC urged people to support army for restoration of peace and calm in the Valley. “I appeal people to work for peace in 2011 and see what peace can yield for them,” he said.
