K Oil dealers seek early allocation of quota
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Dec 21: The Kashmir Valley Kerosene Agents’ Association today appealed to government for early allocation of kerosene quota.
At a meeting here today the members while discussing various issues and challenges the association is facing, appealed to the CAPD authorities for early allocation of k.oil.
The meeting, which was held under the chairmanship of association president Haji Muhammad Ramzan Rather received feedback from its members and discussed issues at length for its future realignment.
The members said the late allocation of k. oil in majority of the areas every month has become a headache for the wholesale dealers. “The allocations are made in second and third week or even later every,” they said.
They said their repeated efforts to persuade the authorities to make allocations earlier had failed. “Due to severe winter the working hours are already shortened and the visibility reduced.
As such the allocation needs to be made well in advance and sufficient/admissible time be given to the wholesale dealers to lift the quota and issue it to consumers as per the requirement/allotment made by the authorities,” they said.
“A committee formed by the association shall take up the matter with the concerned authorities,” said a spokesman of the association in a statement today.
