Participate in peace talks: NC to Hurriyat
Srinagar, Dec 22: The general secretary of National Conference advocate Sheikh Nazr Ahmad on Wednesday urged all groups, including Hurriyat Conference, to participate in the peace talks to help resolve the Kashmir issue.
Talking to party office-bearers at his residence here, Sheikh Nazir said, “Our party wants that result oriented talks should be held to resolve the Kashmir issue. That is why that NC’s youngest leader Omar Abdullah declared Kashmir as a political issue in presence of top central leadership thereby taking a lead over all former chief ministers of the state. This bold step was taken by him to encourage all other political parties to participate in talks.”
Sheikh Nazir said every difficult and complicated problem could be solved through dialogue and all the big, peaceful and developed nations have stressed for resolving this issue through talks. “The roadmap given by late Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah
63-years ago for resolving Kashmir issue is being supported by whole world including leaders of India and Pakistan,” he said.(KMN)
