Razdan said the bank’s Kissan credit cards are a huge hit with the farmers in J&K and are becoming increasingly popular day by day.
Razdan said as “EDB has a strong base in the rural areas of the state as it has been reaching out to the underprivileged and
financially excluded population with the credit/financial service.”
He said the program carries national-level importance and EDB will be the frontrunner to reach out to needy and downtrodden.
Razdan said the KCC is a hassle free credit facility to the farmer which meets their production, cultivation and contingency needs.
“The credit limit remains valid for
three years subject to annual renewals,” he said, adding that the facility carries insurance cover for the notified crops and personnel insurance cover to the farmer against a nominal premium to be shared mutually by bank and farmer.
